The summer transfer window is now into the final days before the deadline and many sides are still on the hunt for new signings. The biggest clubs in European football and clubs across the continent are still midway through their plans for next season. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. A plethora of players will become available in the summer where clubs famously have more money to spend and aren't as restricted by financial fair play rules. Arsenal are poised to complete the signing of Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapié today. The Ecudorian is in London to undergo a medical ahead of completing a loan switch, which includes an option to make the move permanent for €51million.
Manchester United are stepping up their move to sign a goalkeeper before the transfer deadline. Reports suggest the Red Devils are prioritising a move for Belgian stopper Senne Lammens from Antwerp and have lodged a €19.7m bid. However, they are also in talks with Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, who has reportedly agreed personal terms.
Chelsea have opened talks with Sporting CP over a late move for Conrad Harder after losing Liam Delap to injury. The Dane, 20, has emerged as a target following Nicolas Jackson's refusal to return to the club after his loan move to Bayern Munich was put on hold.
