Who did it in fewest games?

Few could have predicted when Mohamed Salah left Chelsea to go to Serie A, after scoring just two goal for the Blues and being labelled by some as a flop, that he would return to the Premier League two years later and become a true legend of the division. But the Egyptian King has since become an icon at Anfield. He signed for the Liverpool for €42 million from Roma in 2017 and hasn't stopped scoring since. He scored 32 Premier League goals in his first season for the club, and broke the record for the most goal contributions in one season last term as his team lifted the title. Two Premier League trophies, one Champions League, one FA Cup, two EFL Cups, one Liverpool hero. And this weekend he has hit yet another milestone.
It was a gift, but the Liverpool forward won't have minded. At the end of a hard-fought first half with Aston Villa, Salah was presented with an open goal just a few moments before half time when a misplaced pass from Emiliano Martinez allowed the Egyptian talent to tap the ball into the back of the empty net. The goal now takes Salah to 250 goals for Liverpool in all competitions, making the 33-year-old just the 11th player to hit that landmark for one specific top-five league clubs this century. It took the Egyptian 415 games to reach 250 goals for the Merseyside club, but where does that rank Salah among the other 10 players to achieve that feat since 2000? Let's take a look.
Every player to hit 250 goals for a top-five league club this century
Leading the way, hitting 250 goals for his club in the fewest games is Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese superstar took just 244 games to hit that number at Real Madrid after signing for Los Blancos from Manchester United. Second is Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who scored 250 goals for Bayern Munich in 294 games. Third goes to Kylian Mbappé, who racked up 250 goals for Paris Saint-Germain in 299 matches. Lionel Messi hit that figure in 327 games for Barcelona and takes fourth, whilst Sergio Agüero is fifth, having scored 250 goals in 360 games for Manchester City - the first player on the list for a Premier League club.

Sixth goes to Harry Kane - the Englishman hit 250 goals for Tottenham in 390 matches. Seventh on the list is now Salah himself at 415 games. The other four players to achieve that feat are as follows: Karim Benzema at Real Madrid in 521 games, Wayne Rooney at Manchester United in 552 games, Francesco Totti at Roma in 556 games, and finally Thomas Müller at Bayern Munich in 756 games.
