The January transfer window has now closed for the majority of top leagues and clubs are have switched their main focus towards identifying targets and figuring out their budgets. The window still remains open for several nations, so deals could still trickle through across the coming days and weeks.

Manchester City and Chelsea are keen on signing Brentford striker Igor Thiago, per TeamTalk. The Brazilian frontman has bagged 18 goals in all competitions this season and has attracted interest from several elite clubs in Europe. He recently penned a new long-term contract with the Bees until 2031, but that may not deter the Premier League duo from testing Brentford's resolve.
Liverpool remain interested in signing RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande despite the Bundesliga club's exorbitant asking price. Leipzig want €100 million for the 19-year-old if he leaves this summer, an amount which Bayern Munich are unwilling to pay. But the Reds are keeping tabs on Diomande, according to Christian Falk.
Inter Milan plan to exercise their buy-back clause to bring back midfielder Aleksandar Stanković, which could end Arsenal and Manchester United's chances of agreeing a cut-price deal. The Serbian starlet only joined Club Brugge last summer, but his performances in Belgium have attracted major interest. Under the terms of his sale, Inter can re-sign him for €23 million.
