As England embark on their friendlies this March in the final international break ahead of this summer's World Cup, players aim to push their bid to make the plane to North America this summer. The current oversized squad contains players from many of the top Premier League clubs, as well as stars who play for some of Europe's giants like Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid or Harry Kane at Bayern Munich. But for some English teams, none of their native players got the call up.

With this in mind, using Transfermarkt's huge historical database, we have calculated the length of time it has been since each English club had a player last make the squad for the Three Lions, and revealed just who that player was. We will unveil the answers in chronological order, starting with the most recent call ups first.
