To say Oliver Glasner is doing wonders at Crystal Palace is probably something of an understatement. The Austrian led the Eagles to their first ever major trophy as they won the FA Cup last season, beating Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in the final. And despite losing star players Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze in the last two summers to Bayern Munich and Arsenal respectively, Palace continue to defy the odds under Glasner. On Saturday, they defeated Premier League champions Liverpool at Selhurst Park thanks to a last-minute Eddie Nketiah winner, meaning Palace are now the only unbeaten team in the English top-flight this season.
Furthermore, their unbeaten stretch actually goes all the way back to April in all competitions, which is not only a club record, but has the Eagles way out in front among Europe's elite. Their unbeaten streak has now reached as many as 18 matches, with Palace's last defeat coming on April 16, when they were beaten 5-0 at Newcastle. But who are the other sides in the top 10 behind Glasner's mighty Eagles? Here at Transfermarkt, we have calculated the current top-five leagues teams, who have avoided defeat for the most consecutive games in all competitions.
Longest unbeaten teams in Europe's top-5 leagues
With Palace way out in front with an 18-game unbeaten run, it's a huge drop-off to second, with LaLiga giants Barcelona laying claim to that position, having not lost for nine games in all competitions. Their last defeat was to Villarreal in May. Bayern Munich take third with an eight game unbeaten streak which stretches back to July when they were beaten in the Club World Cup. Borussia Dortmund share fourth place with Elche, with both sides currently seven games unbeaten, having not tasted defeat this season.

Serie A giants Juventus are sixth with a six game unbeaten streak which required a late comeback against Dortmund in match-day one of the Champions League to remain intact. We then have a number of teams who are on five-game unbeaten stretches including Jamie Vardy's Cremonese, with the promoted side still yet to lose a Serie A match this term, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham.
