On Tuesday Transfermarkt released the latest market value update for the Swedish Allsvenkan and to no great surprise most of the biggest movers in the top-flight were exciting young talents that are forging a career in one of Europe’s most intriguing leagues. As Transfermarkt data confirmed last week, no European top flight gave more game time to players aged 21 or younger than the Allsvenkan last season and that shows in the latest market values across the division.
The top five most valuable players in the league are all now aged 23 or younger, with Malmo winger Hugo Bolin sitting top as the league’s most valuable player with a market value of €6m, following a €1m market value increase in this update. Second place goes to 22-year-old central midfielder Besfort Zeneli from Elfsborg, whose market value rose €1.5m to €4m. He’s joined by 17-year-old attacking midfielder Love Arrhov, who continues to take the league by storm with Brommapojkarna and as such has been granted the first market value of his career at €4m. Hammarby midfielder Markus Karlsson (+€1m to €4m) and Japanese left-back Keita Kosugi (+€2m to €4m) make up the top five most valuable players in the division.
Arrhov tops list of U21 talents in the Swedish Allsvenkan
As we can see in the table below, which shows the most valuable players aged 21 or younger in the division, Arrhov is not only the third most valuable player in the entire division but he’s also the most valuable young prospect in Swedish football. After only making his debut for Brommapojkarna in late April, Arrhov has since played 18 games in no less than five different positions for his club. Such performances at the tender age of 17 caught the attention of Bundesliga giants Eintracht Frankfurt, who swooped in and signed the player for €4.6m but the player won’t officially make the move until January 2026.
Second on the list of U21 talents in Sweden is the aforementioned left-back Kosugi, who continues to go from strength to strength at Djurgården. Since making the move to the Swedish top-flight from Japanese side Bellmare’s U18 team in March of 2024, Kosugi has established himself as the first-choice left back at Djurgården. Such performances have seen the young defender heavily linked with a move to Scottish Premiership side Celtic and considering the Swedish club’s record for developing and selling young talents, it seems like only a matter of time before Kosugi makes a move to one of Europe’s top leagues.
Making up the rest of the top five is 19-year-old attacking midfielder Pontus Dahbo, whose market value stands at €2.5m due to his continued performances in the heart of Häcken’s team. He’s joined by Hammarby right winger Montader Madjed, whose stellar form for the club in 2025 has seen him pick up five goals and two assists in 19 league games, as well as three goals in three games in the Swedish cup. Just below them is 20-year-old left winger Abdoulie Manneh, whose form in 2025 has seen him bag 10 goals and assists in 22 league games, leading to his market value rising from €500k to €2m since the start of the year.
Scottish talent Robbie Ure thriving in Sweden
Elsewhere, another young talent that seems to be making waves in the Allsvenskan is Sirius centre forward Robbie Ure. After departing Rangers’ youth teams in 2023 to try his luck in Belgium, Ure then made a €750k move to Sirius in March of this year and since then the young striker hasn’t looked back. Over the course of his first 23 games for the club, Ure has picked up 10 goals and three assists for Uppsala club. As such, just three players in the entire league have picked up more goals and assists than the 21-year-old Glaswegian talent in this season’s campaign. As such Ure’s market value has risen by €1.1m to a new market value of €1.5m, which constitutes a 275% rise since he joined the club.
How Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are calculated, taking into account various pricing models. A major factor is the Transfermarkt community, whose members discuss and evaluate player market values in detail. In general, the Transfermarkt market values are not to be equated with transfer fees.
The goal is not to predict a price but an expected value of a player in a free market. Both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant in determining market values. Examples of this are listed below. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (you can find the detailed market value definition here).
