Juventus have extended Weston McKennie's expiring contract. The midfielder signed a new contract until 30 June 2030, which will earn him a reported €4 million net per year.

The US international moved from Schalke to the Bianconeri in 2020. In total, he brought in €26.4 million in loan and transfer fees for Schalke. McKennie has been a fixture at Juventus for years, contributing 26 goals and assists in 220 games. The US men's national team midfielder also spent half a season on loan with Leeds United, but following relegation, moved back to Juve and has since reestablished himself as an important player in Italy.

McKennie is also a regular under new manager Luciano Spalletti and has been more prominent in attack again in recent weeks. He did not contribute to a single goal until the end of November, but now has 15 assists after 38 appearances this season. Only striker Kenan Yıldız (17 assists) is more dangerous in front of goal in the Turin squad.

Despite speculations - Weston McKennie opts to remain at Juve

There have been plenty of speculations surrounding McKennie's future at Juventus. The 27-year-old has been linked with a free transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, Olympique Marseille, and Inter Milan in recent weeks. Indeed, with a market value of €22m, McKennie would have been one of the most desirable free agents available this summer. Furthermore, his participation at the 2026 World Cup this summer could have even further increased his stock. Those speculations have now come to an end, as Juve have secured McKennie's long-term future at the club.
