With billions of euros exchanged between clubs in the summer transfer window, the value of exploiting the free agent market cannot be understated. Using the Bosman rule, clubs can approach players who have entered the six months year of their deal to discuss a pre-contract agreement. With just over three weeks to go before their expiry on June 30, 2026, there are still 23 players with a market value of 10 million or higher available for Premier League clubs to sign.

Ibrahima Konaté has the highest market value of that group at €45 million. Liverpool have confirmed the centre-back will leave as a free agent after five years at Anfield, with Real Madrid poised to seal the 27-year-old's signature if Florentino Perez wins a fifth term as president. It's a position the LaLiga giants have taken several times in recent years, signing Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba in similar circumstances.

Along with Konaté, a flurry of free agents are expected to move around the Premier League. It's a summer of transition for Manchester City, who will have a new coach in the dugout for the first time since 2016 after Pep Guardiola stepped down as head coach. His replacement is widely expected to be Enzo Maresca, who will lose experienced duo Bernardo Silva and John Stones when he takes over as the pair are leaving on free transfers.

Elsewhere, Harry Wilson and Marcos Senesi (both €25m) are set to join new clubs. Wilson, 29, has rejected a new deal with Fulham in favour of seeking out one final big contract, while Bournemouth defender Senesi has been strongly-linked with Tottenham.

Óscar Mingueza and Julian Brandt have both been linked with moves to England, with Mingueza on Aston Villa's shortlist and Brandt a target for Brighton. Dusan Vlahović, linked with Chelsea, could prove to be a steal at the age of 26 and with a market value of €35 million, having scored 10 goals in 23 appearances in 2025/26.

Staying in the Bundesliga, Leon Goretzka's next destination is still unknown. The long-serving Bayern star has attracted interest from Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, but he could yet remain in Germany. Union Berlin could lose defensive pair Danilo Doekhi and Diogo Leite, who share a combined market value of €25m, and that is no small sum for the mid-table Bundesliga club. Likewise, RB Leipzig star Xaver Schlager (€10m) will be weighing up his options as his deal runs down.

There are bargains to be found in France too. RC Lens defender Malang Sarr (€20m) can be snapped up on a free transfer along with his team-mate Allan Saint-Maximin (€10m), while Lorient duo Arthur Avom (€20m) and Bamba Dieng (€15m) are available to sign for nothing. Experienced midfielders Fabinho and Franck Kessie (both €12m) may be an option for elite European clubs if their respective deals with Saudi Pro League outfits Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli are not renewed.
