Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have reportedly begun making moves to sign Portuguese star Bernardo Silva, who is set to leave Manchester City. Whilst it is claimed that the Yellow-and-Reds have made a two-year offer for the number 10, it is reported that Fenerbahçe are also preparing an offer, and that Saudi Arabian clubs have entered the fray.
According to a report by journalist Ali Naci Küçük, Galatasaray have offered Silva a two-year contract worth €15 million per year. Meanwhile, according to information shared by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Fenerbahçe is also planning to make an offer for the player, whilst it is stated that Silva has received a very high offer from Saudi Arabia.
Silva, whose current market value stands at €27m, is expected to leave as a free agent this summer following a career spanning approximately nine years in the Premier League. The Portuguese player, who has made 452 appearances for Manchester City, has etched his name into the club’s history with 76 goals and 77 assists. Silva, who won the UEFA Champions League in 2023, has enjoyed numerous league and cup successes in England.
Having started his football career in Benfica’s youth system, Silva later moved to Monaco for €15m. After two seasons there, he joined Man City in 2017 for a transfer fee of €50m. Alongside İlkay Gündoğan and Kevin De Bruyne, Silva has left his mark on the Premier League, with his market value rising to €100m in 2019.
