Whilst there is no major senior international tournament this summer, there is plenty of talent on show at this June's U21 European Championship in Slovakia. The group stages are already complete and we know the last eight who will battle it out in the quarter-finals this weekend. Portugal U21s will take on the Netherlands U21s, whilst England U21s face Spain U21s on Saturday. Then on Sunday, Germany U21s play Italy U21s, with France U21s to go up against Denmark U21s. So far, it has pretty much gone to form, with the eight quarter-finalists representing the eight most valuable squads at the start of the tournament.

So plenty of highly-rated youngsters remain in the competition, but who are the most valuable stars still present at this summer's U21 Euros? At Transfermarkt, we have calculated just that to determine the talents with the highest market value in the quarter-finals of the tournament. We have also put together the most valuable XI of players still out in Slovakia.

The most valuable players at U21 European Championship

The most valuable player at the tournament is Arsenal's teenage talent Ethan Nwaneri. The 18-year-old has a market value of €55m and has featured in all three of England U21's group games, but is still yet to score for the young Three Lions at the tournament. In second place is Portugal's Geovany Quenda, who will join Chelsea from Sporting next summer. He has a market value of €45m. In third is England and Newcastle full-back Tino Livramento at €40m. He is followed in fourth by France U21 centre-half Castello Lukeba - also worth €40m.

In fifth place is England's Archie Gray with a market value of €38m. Sixth position goes to Netherlands U21 defender Jorrel Hato, who is a transfer target for many top clubs this summer, and has a market value of €35m. In seventh is France's Mathys Tel at €35m. He is followed by England's Elliot Anderson in eighth with a market value of €32m. Ninth place goes to Spains's 19-year-old winger Jesús Rodríguez at €30m, whilst his 20-year-old compatriot Cristhian Mosquera completes the top 10 - also with a €30m market value.
