Liverpool went into their second leg round of 16 Champions League tie 1-0 down after defeat against Galatasaray last week. However, the Reds blew their Turkish opponents away at Anfield, winning 4-0 on the night. Mohamed Salah missed a penalty in the first half, but looked back to his best after the break. The Egyptian curled a sumptuous strike into the top corner for his 50th goal in the Champions League. In doing so he became the first ever African player to hit that milestone.

The 33 year old also provided a lovely assist for Hugo Ekitiké. He was substituted late on to a standing ovation from the Anfield faithful. Salah hasn't had his best season, but he reminded everybody of his talent in the Champions League this week. He hits the 50 goal milestone after 97 games in Europe's top club competition. He has also provided 20 assists in that time.
