When it comes to domestic football in Africa, few leagues can rival the might of the Egyptian Premier League. Al Ahly have won the CAF Champions League no less than 12 times - seven more than the next-best team in the competition’s history. As such, the Egyptian top-flight can boast some of the best talents that African football has to offer. And following the latest Transfermarkt market value update of the Egyptian top-flight, we can once again take note of who the most valuable players are and which stars have gained the most market value.
When it comes to the players that saw the biggest bumps in market value in this most recent update, there is one star that stands above all others. Pyramids FC left winger Mostafa Ziko saw his market value increase by €800k to €1.8 million, making him the third most valuable player at his club and the 12th most valuable in the league. The second biggest market value increase was awarded to Brazilian right winger Juan Bezerra, who saw his market value rise by €700k to €2.5m. Third place in this particular contest went to Pyramids FC central midfielder Hamed Hamdan, whose market value increased by €600k to €1.2m.
